I’m no Grayson Perry, Peter Hayes or Agalis Manessi however working with ceramics makes me the happiest girl in the world. If I could have my own studio I’d work in it all day everyday. Hopefully one day I’ll get lucky and get a house with a garden and very my own Hannah in the pottery shed.
Living in East London, it’s really hard to get space to create. At home I can paint, draw, knit but for ceramics is almost impossible to do from a 1 and half bedroom flat. I made these owls at Hackney Community College, it was only 2 hours a week but those 2 hours were the highlight of my week. I miss it so much. The day I get chance to get back in the studio will be one of my happiest. Watch this space…
