Styling the seasons – April

Styling-the-seasons-April-4

Styling the seasons is a project organised by blogger creatives Katy from Apartment Apothecary and Charlotte from Lotts & Lots, each month they encourage bloggers like me to style an area of our own homes each month to reflect what that month means to us.

I’ve been a bit slow with contributing to with Styling the seasons posts this year, which is a shame as I do love this project collaboration, hopefully now I’ll keep styling my home and joining in. Unfortunately this month I’m feeling rather ‘prickly’, we’ve been told by the landlord that we need to move out soon and in London it’s particularly stressful! It will be good to have a change and find a new home but not being lucky enough to own my own home and being a renter on the move has made me feel quite on edge.

I’m obsessed with green and in spring I like to bring the outdoors in with LOTS of green plants. As I don’t know what space I’ll have in the next few months, I didn’t want to buy too many big plants so this small collection of cacti are perfect. Plus they are pretty perfect for expressing my current angst, hands up who hates estate agents!

This hand featured is my bargain find in Copenhagen at a Hay design outlet! Yep you heard me, a HAY design outlet! I got so much stuff, well what could fit into my suitcase anyway. This hand represents a level of hope that I’ll take my pretty greens to a happy new home soon, I can’t wait to buy more plants, flowers and style at a home that I can stay in.

I might have chilled out a bit for the next Styling the seasons post and actually feature a larger corner of my home.
