East Coast beaches in the winter may not be the first thing that comes into mind when thinking about colour palettes but to me this is one of the best palettes for a home.
I recently went to visit my parents in my hometown of Cleethorpes. Upon the coastal walk with my Dad, I marvelled on the colours and hues of the east coast. Rich wet sand, the sea had a vast range of grey- blues with hints of mauve, the sand dunes looked wild and weathered with grey- greens, opaque skies balancing all of the colours.
Here’s my perfect wintry English seaside colour palette using Farrow and Ball paints as references.

What can I say, I’m a designer, I love grey, the sea side in the winter is picture perfect. I’m definatley not a photographer so here are some amature snaps of the beach, including a little seal cub being rescued with a broom (15 mins down the coast) at Donna Nook.

Great pics and I love your colour palette. The sudbury yellow works so well with the grey tones. Farrow & Ball are definitely one of my favourite paints

I think spot on! Found you on Internet while searching for F&B Brassica images, considering it for the walls of my new kitchen. White units, haven’t chosen granite, but probably shiny black, or shiny Blue Pearl grey. I’m thinking Swedish 1920s meets London today, with mod cons. . . Or how about F&B Dove Tale?!

I do love Dove Tail (a new fav of mine), if i remember it does have to say changes in the light. I’d say get all of those samples first, once you have chosen on your granite and flooring then the paint colour will be easier to choose. I also paint on large pieces of lining paper and hang them around the room to view in the changing light.
