This is my first post for the blog series #StylingTheSeasons organised by Katy from Apartment Apothecary and Charlotte from Lotts & Lots. They’ve asked fellow bloggers to style an area of their home to reflect what that month means to you. Our homes can become quite static in decor and style if we don’t keep our homes changeable. This can be done by the simplest of methods from new flowers, plants, changing artwork and textiles.
For me, October is a month of cosiness. Nights at home curled up on the sofa under a thick blanket, getting back into the kitchen making fresh hot soups and stews. Not to mention jumpers! I flippin love jumpers!
One of my favourite soups in October is Butternut squash soup, I love to add crushed peppercorns and fresh thyme just as I serve. Roast slices of butternut squash to dip into the soup, it’s so yummy!
My sofa is my sanctuary, when the colder nights draw in I always get excited bringing out my woollen throw, a huge stack of magazines and a big cup of coffee. Plus it’s always nice to dress up a plate with pretty natural finds.

This is all so beautiful and stylish, Hannah. I really like the idea of that soup too 😉 xx
Thanks Katy! 🙂
Gorgeous photos. I especially love your throw!
Thanks Emma! Yes my Donna Wilson throw is so pretty, I recommend the investment in a good throw so much!
