swedish summer at Heal’s

As a fan of scandinavian design I was happy to hear that Heal’s are celebrating and promoting Swedish design this summer. Heal’s has a long history of celebrating scandinavian design with their first campaign in 1951, almost 20 years later Heal’s opened a Swedish exhibition highlighting world renowned designers at the time, many are still around today. Now they’ve done it again with a plethora of swoon worthy brands.

This impressive design collection takes pride of place in the windows and entrance of the Tottenham court road showroom. Brands such as House of Rym, Swedish Hasbeens, Fogia, Månses Design, Volvo, Bxxlght, Ljungbergs Factory, Skultuna, Design House Stockholm, and SO many more. Heal’s will be promoting this fab collection during August and I will be writing a few posts about my favourite brands featured.

Not only are Heal’s showcasing Swedish design but they are hosting many Swedish style events throughout the month of August. Events include, making flower headbands, learning embroidery Swedish Style, Learn how to cross stitch, how to knit a soft toy and Quilting workshops. I’m not too sure what events are still going on as most of them started at the beginning of the month. BUT never fear, head over to the Heal’s site to find out more. AND if you’re interested in any tutorials like this, then let me know, I’d be happy to write another blog post on it.

Here are a few shots of the incredible selection of Swedish design, they make me feel SO inspired.
